Pattaya City embraces gender diversity and is considered the capital of the LGBTQ+ community. Throughout its history, Pattaya has demonstrated a clear commitment to diversity and has long supported the LGBTQ+ community. This support is evident through shows like Alcazar and Tiffany's, as well as the annual Pride events held in June, which bring together diverse individuals to express their solidarity. A historic moment will arrive on January 23, 2025, when love and diversity will be proudly recognized in the form of the 'Equal Marriage Law'. 

The Karunyawet Protection and Development Center for Persons with Disabilities was initially established in 1992 as the 'Home for the Disabled and Impaired' to provide care for individuals with disabilities aged 18 and over. It was later granted a new royal name, 'Karunyawet', which means 'House of Compassion'.

This center has undergone changes in its affiliation due to government agency restructuring. Currently, it is under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, and is now known as the 'Karunyawet Protection and Development Center for Persons with Disabilities'.

The Father Ray Foundation for Persons with Disabilities was established by Father Raymond Brennan in 1984 to support and operate the Pattaya Redemptorist Technological College for People with Disabilities and other related organizations focused on improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Its primary objectives are to ensure the stability of the college's operations, support the Father Ray Center for Job Placement for Persons with Disabilities, and facilitate disability rehabilitation activities. Furthermore, the foundation aims to promote and sustainably enhance the quality of life for persons with disabilities. The foundation operates in accordance with Father Ray's dedication to assisting individuals with disabilities to achieve better opportunities and a higher quality of life. 

The Pattaya Orphanage was founded in 1972 by Father Raymond Allyn Brennan to assist orphaned and abandoned children during the Vietnam War, a time when Pattaya was a popular rest and recreation destination for many American soldiers. Through the collaboration of American soldiers and the Chanthaburi Diocese, the foundation has continuously developed and expanded its child care services. Currently, it cares for approximately 160 orphaned children, ranging from newborns to university level, and also operates the Sotpattana Kindergarten School for deaf and hearing-impaired children.
